"Taste of Anaheim" To Be Held May 14th at GardenWalk

Ruth Chris Steakhouse, California Pizza Kitchen, Bubba Gumps, McCormick & Schmick's, Rain Forest Café, Naples Restaurant, Catal Restaurant, Tortilla Jo's, Roy's Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine, Alcatraz Brewing Company.

These are the names of some of the restaurants that will be participating in this year's Taste of Anaheim on May 14th 5:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m. at Anaheim GardenWalk, the 14th time the event's been held. Yes, most are chains, but not all.

One of the more surprising entrants, Ten Ten Seafood, which is the first time I've heard a truly Chinese restaurant joined a gathering like this. PF Chang's? Yeah they'll be there too. You Chinese attendees are allowed to shake your head disapprovingly.

Now, what I really want to know is what Lucky Strikes Lanes (the bowling alley at the GardenWalk) is going to serve. I betcha it has something to do with chicken wings, mozzarella sticks, and a deep-fat fryer. But I've been wrong before.

Tickets are $35 per person pre-sale, $40 at the door.

According to their website, the price of a ticket should include food (by way of sample-sized portions, I would assume) and the evening's entertainment.

Depends on what you usually spend on food. Some of the restaurants that participate have per person price of $25-50 so I would not call it expensive. You also get to try many different restaurants around the area as much as you want...its like a giant buffet but better quality.
You also get great live music the whole time.
I think its totally worth it if you love food and love trying new things. If you are the type of person that thinks Cheesecake factory is high end restaurant...then don't go.

Another city with a great venue is Corona. Their "The Great Taste" of Corona is coming up on Saturday June 6th. 5-8 PM.

You can buy tickets online before the day of the event for only $20.00. All food samples from 27 restaurants are free. Beer and wine are extra. Live rock band will be performing.
