Welcome home, Roscoe's!

Two years ago, the beloved Roscoe's House of Chicken and Waffles chain announced they were opening their first OC location in Anaheim, just down the street from Disneyland. And then...the wait. Delays and delays and delays and delays.

No more delays, folks: if all goes according to plan, according to those in the know, Roscoe's will open its doors TOMORROW at 8 a.m., just in time to soak up your drinking that you will commence in a coupla hours--or, in my case, since 11 this morning.

Nothing else to report on my part--now DVR whatever #everysimpsonsever episodes you're going to miss for about two hours and GO GO GO!!!

Me and my family heard about this new Roscoe's and was excited to come and dine in. I was shocked by some of the services we were receiving. Overall the restaurant has great potential but some of the hosts weren't up to part like they should have been I mean normally when im at a restaurant the host that's assigned to our table normally check to make sure everything was going great and we are satisfied. while I was waiting outside this man on a motorcycle was driving really fast and unsafe. I then notice during eating there the same guy on the bike was an employee there. He don't have great customer service at all and its a concern for me by the way he was driving in the parking lot. I have children that was with me and I felt like my children was unsafe.. And omg the food was terrible you guys need a new cook and some better employees. I thought the security was nice and polite they had great customer service and they welcomed us here politely. That's the only good experience I had there... Me and my family wont be back you guys need serious improvement

Yesterday me and my family went to the roscoes in orange county down the street from Disneyland, I wasn't pleased at all only thing good was the customer service  the security and a few of your host and servers were professional and friendly and polite but the food was terrible wasn't seasoned right and a motorcycle had cut me off entering the parking lot he cut in between the cones and I almost ran into him when I made a complaint to the manager he gave me the most rudest attitude I came to find out it was him on the motorcycle that cut me off he did not apologize for it, the food took the longest to come out, I was waiting outside for a long time before that I was very upset with my visit you guys need to make improvements before me and my family ever come back there again.

I'm sorry people but Roscoe's is extremely overrated. I understand it's probably best when drunk, but then again Denny's/Norms is equally tasty when intoxicated.

If you do a little research on Yelp you will find MUCH better Chicken & Waffles than this placy,.......I Promise

I went yesterday [Aug. 25], on day 2.

The most awful all-around dining experience I've had in awhile.

By far the worst aspect was the employees.

One of the things that makes Roscoe's in Long Beach so enjoyable is the generally good service.

Not Roscoes's in Anaheim:

Clueless doorman (Cory? I think), surly, barking hostess, friendly but totally overwhelmed young female server.  Even the guy bussing tables had no etiquette...slamming his plate and dinnerware bucket down on tables, hollering things, etc.  One server, a ~40+ female, was in great mood and engaged diners in a warm, disarming way...unfortunately the rest of the staff seemed more interested in hugging and joking with each other.

Chicken was overfried and devoid of the unique seasoning...all I tasted was something that I couldn't say was salt, but like a nasty salt-substitute flavor.

(The waffle was absolutely heavenly, though.)

After waiting 15 minutes for the check -- keep in mind, this after waiting 42 minutes just to get in the door -- I had to go up to the cashier to get it myself. I usually leave a 20%-50% tip everywhere...the help here got not even 8%.

I know, you're thinking, it's day 2, give them a break. Nope. Somethin's wrong here, and it's only gonna get worse, folks. If you must go to Anaheim, tip appropriately...maybe they'll eventually get the message. Better yet, just go to the Long Beach Roscoe's...the taste of the chicken and the service will be much more worth the drive and the hunt for a parking spot.
