Finger lickin' great!
Behold our annual 100 Favorite Dishes countdown! Every day until the publication of our fantabulous Best Of Issue, we'll list our favorite meals this year in descending order. Enjoy, pass it on, and tune in daily!

If you're in line for Star Tours or the Astro Orbitor and you suddenly feel hunger pangs creep in, it's because of Plaza Inn. The smell from the fried chicken it cooks permeates the entire area. And if you've tasted it before, you know it's hands-down the best fried chicken not just in the park, but probably the City of Anaheim outside of Roscoe's (which just barely opened).

See also:

Plaza Inn, for the quick, cafeteria-style restaurant that it is, will serve its golden, inexplicably non-greasy chicken with mashed potatoes, loads of gravy, a heap of green beans, and a useless biscuit. It's a monster of a meal. You don't just get one or two pieces of that chicken, you get three--a drumstick, a thigh, and a breast from the Dolly Parton of hens.

But you finish every bit, starting with that crunchy rendered skin, and leaving nothing but the bones. This is fried chicken that not only exceeds your expectations of theme park food but also the dish itself--a fried chicken that's arguably better than the one that started Knott's Berry Farm.

If you don't want the whole meal, you can get pieces ala carte. I had a breast with a wing ($3.50) and mashed potatoes ($3.50) on Sunday. It's a bargain and free refills on the sodas.

Best dinner meal in the park, the size is huge! My other go to meal is the clam chowder in bead bowl! \U0001f4aa\U0001f44d\U0001f44c

I Love the food there. I used to work that area (Plaza Inn, Inn Between, and Plaza Pavilion) of the park and would serve it and later have it at the Inn Between. Don't listen to Bill Martin's bullshit. There are plenty of things to complain about Disneyland (as both a patron and as an employee) but the cleanliness and dedication to the guest experience is not one of them.

My very first job was working at the Disneyland Hotel and during orientation, we got to go backstage. Even though I was 17, it still killed some of the magic to see characters take off their heads. A little more magic was taken away today. Thanks, Bill.

@BobLoblawsLawBlog  Don't be so harsh on Bill, doesn't his lack of expertise to compose a cogent English language post lend credence to his rant?
