Thai Cocktails and Cooking in Orange This Week--And a Cookbook Giveaway NOW!
There are those who prefer to cook their own meals, and others who'd rather pay someone to do the cooking. If you're more in the DIY camp, here's an easy score. I'm giving away a copy of Everyday Thai Cooking by Katie Chin to one Forker who answers a simple question.
If you happen to be in the latter camp, there's still an opportunity to dine on some Thai fare. And if you're on the fence on cooking versus eating, Chin is conducting a cooking class this week. Choose your own adventure after the jump.
Katie Chin's approach to cooking is simple and straightforward. Her goal is to teach basic Asian dishes using accessible ingredients, with techniques novice cooks can comprehend. Her new cookbook includes over 100 step-by-step recipes with accompanying photographs. And she's also a fellow food blogger. To win her book, comment with your favorite Thai dish before the end of the week.
To participate in her cooking class, she will be at Inspire Artistic Minds in Orange this Thursday at 6:30 p.m. Chin's cooking demonstration will feature four recipes from her cookbook: Chiang Mai chicken in lettuce cups, panaeng curry meatballs, pineapple fried rice and coconut cake. The interactive class is $40, and tickets can be purchased at this link.
For everyone else, there's a book signing and cocktail party immediately following the demonstration. Stop by this free event to learn more about Katie and try a few Thai dishes. Email email@example.com in order to attend.
