The Guardian reports that a British man who works as an immigration officer for Border Force at Stansted Airport put in his resignation in a letter without even a hint of bitterness: it was written on a cake he baked.

Chris Holmes, who just has witnessed the birth of his first child and also calls himself  Mr. Cake, is a budding baker who has seen the business he built up in his spare time over the past two or three years grow. So when he decided to pursue his passion full time and quit his day job, he came to work Monday with the "spiced carrot cake with pecans and sultanas and coconut" written with the message that said:

"Having recently become a father I now realise how precious life is and how important it is to spend my time doing something that makes me, and other people, happy. For that reason, I hereby give notice of my resignation, in order that I may devote my time and energy to my family, and my cake business."

He added a link to his website at the end, just in case his co-workers liked the taste of his resignation letter. They did, by the way, calling it "very nice."

The sweetest part is now that photo went viral, his phone has been ringing off the hook and the website is overloaded.

Holmes does have one regret. He told the Guardian, "The writing was quite fiddly... I would have done it a bit neater if I'd known it was going to go viral."
