Bruxie Announces Location Six...in Irvine!

Do you see what we see? Bruxie Huntington Beach opens today, and they
are already advertising location number six in (drum roll, please):
Irvine!

What can we say that hasn't already been said about our favorite mini-chain? Nothing, really. The Surf City locale has baristas pouring coffee out of their Streetside walk-up window for early morning waffling. An easy, breezy corner dining room off 5th Street at The Strand places them in yet another bustling neighborhood.

We still can't believe The Bold Fold is coming to the mother of master-planned communities. Despite every other Irvine restaurant closure being replaced by an Asian establishment (at least according to Edwin), Dean Simon's cash cow is moving into the busiest plaza that doesn't contain the words Diamond or Spectrum--the corner of Walnut Avenue and Culver Drive. It's not only freeway accessible, but the plaza containing a previous scoop, Mitsuwa Marketplace.

There goes the neighborhood parking lot. Again.

can't wait for this...although i'm worried about the already crowding parking lot here.

I'm wondering where this will actually go.  Could it be the Fujikan BBQ restaurant that's undergoing construction right now?  Or, do we know for sure it will be in Heritage Plaza?  It could be in the Walnut Village Center (Trader Joe's, Sushi Boy, Subway, Starbucks, etc.) across the street.

I'm a little concerned when good places get too big, but so far Miguel's Jr. has kept up the quality. it just kind of pisses me off that Irvine gets the next location. What's up with Long Beach/Signal Hill/Lakewood? Irviners can easily to get to Orange or RSM.

Very interesting. Looks like they won't have to deal with the Irvine Company at Culver & Walnut.

I was informed it would be close to The Habit.

@MJS562 I really want to see a location in the LBC area as well. I live in Long Beach and have been hoping for an LBC location ever since I first tried Bruxie and noticed their plans for expansion. Downtown Long Beach or Belmont Shore are great for up & coming or foodie targeted businesses. Although I'm sure availability of space is limited. I've run into the founder of Bruxie at the Orange original location before and tried to put the bug in his ear about Long Beach. Hopefully he'll stumble across enough chatter to consider it one day.

@MJS562 I don't know of many Irvinians who think it's convenient to drive to Orange or Rancho for Bruxies...I think Irvine is a good location for them, especially at Culver and Walnut — right next to Irvine High School.  They'll get LOTS of traffic from students during their lunch break.  Currently The Habit Burger dominates the shopping center with students...now they'll have some competition

@MJS562 I couldn't agree more.  They'd benefit more from opening a location in 562
