Nestled in the UCI student-friendly plaza known as Diamond Jamboree, Guppy House is known for its boba, shaved ice and their famous popcorn chicken, of which Edwin approves. If you're down for some midnight indulgence, spring for some brick toast. The toasted white bread in condensed milk comes drizzled in condensed milk, chocolate and any topping of your choice. 6. BCD Tofu House

Located just a few doors down from Guppy House in Irvine, BCD Tofu House prides itself on being the only Diamond Jamboree restaurant offering 24-hour service, where it's not uncommon to wander in at 3 a.m. to see the place packed with UCI students chatting as if it were 3 p.m. While you're waiting, enjoy some panchan like kimchi and fried fish, and then get ready for the sound of your bubbling pot of tofu. 5. NORMS Restaurant

This LA-based, 24-hour all-American chain restaurant has over 18 locations in SoCal, over half of which are in the good 'ol OC. Since 1949 the restaurant has been known for their slogan "We Never Close," and to this day they've continued to uphold it, much to the delight of 18-22 year-olds everywhere who need a place to study while grub. If you're craving an early breakfast, try one of their original omelettes--I suggest the Melting Pot, which is just as loaded as it sounds. Located in all old-school OC cities.
