Edwin reviewed the Wild Goose Tavern in Costa Mesa, and their tasty sausages. He told us about the opening of an Italian burrito concept, found in Costa Mesa, as well. Then he shared Subway's testing of a so-called "Sriracha sauce." Last, he wrote about how, oddly, some Starbucks are now selling the Square credit card reader for $10 - which you can get for free from the website.
Gustavo's Hole in the Wall story took him to the new Grilled Cheese Spot in SanTana, which, not surprisingly, was damn tasty. Then he went on a concise rant about a restaurant opening in the newly renovated gas building on Santa Ana's 2nd Street Promenade. The problem isn't the restaurant, it's the tacky name, and in OC, we don't need anymore of that. Last, he reviewed the OC Register's new food critic, Brad A. Johnson.
Anne Marie named the Four Roses Manhattan from Tamarind the Drink of the Week, and then reported on a customer's freak-out at a Subway in Orange County, Florida, when he realized that Subway didn't carry ketchup. Last, she shared the bright culinary future for 17th Street in Costa Mesa.
Dave told us to try Sullungtang at Jang Mo Gip in Buena Park. Sarah had her Long Beach Lunch at Beachwood BBQ, Niyaz Pirani shared how to make your own chicken stock, and last, Charles Lam shared his favorite college drinking games.
