SNL Skewers Starbucks Verismo Machine In a Parody; But Is It Racist?

Have you seen the SNL parody commercial on Starbucks' Verismo machine? It has surprisingly sophisticated special effects for a late-night comedy show, but there's a significant amount of controversy over the content. The sketch uses African-American stereotypes that The Gothamist calls racist and "lazy."

LOL. I think it's hysterical...and, unfortunately, an accurate depiction of the inner-city quick-serve purchase experience.
