Eat Steak and Sip Cocktails While You Watch The Hobbit; Cinepolis Luxury Cinema Opens In RSM

Cinepolis Luxury Cinemas--a theater chain that began in Mexico--has opened the second of its two planned Orange County theaters in Rancho Santa Margarita last week. Its first OC theater debuted earlier this year in nearby Laguna Niguel.

If you're new to the experience of having dinner and a movie from the same seat and are thinking of seeing Peter Jackson's latest, tickets for a 7 p.m. showing of The Hobbit in 3D will cost you $22.50. Dinner of sous vide short rib with demi-glace and rosemary potatoes will set you back $16.

Popcorn, cocktails, an espresso? If there a point where you need to stop counting how much your evening will cost, it's probably now, or else you may be better suited for delivered pizza and Netflix.
