We like our Costa Mesa Mitsuwa store for a lot of reasons. Find some of these reasons in our annual 100 Favorite Dishes countdown. They're also, of course, home to the venerable ramen purveyor Santoka. But then there's the reason why they always seem to grace the pages of this humble blog more often than the local Ralphs: they host food fairs more than occasionally.

The latest one, called the Umaimono Gourmet Fair, is going to happen tomorrow and continue onto the weekend. It almost doesn't matter what this one's about (it's a fall celebration), they're always fun, and there's always more than a few new things to try and eat. This time, expect different flavors of ramen including a special type of miso, as well as okonomiyaki and beef tongue bento boxes.
