Oktoberfest at Old World Village
There's so much to love about Oktoberfest--old men in cute little hats and suspenders, buxom beer babes, drunken sing-a-longs, sausages galore, the bicep workout you get while chugging out of steins. "Oans, zwoa, drei, Gsuffa!" (One, two, three, drink up!)

We're in the height of the season, so grab your lederhosen and check out one (or all) of these OC Oktoberfest events!

Through Oct. 28
The largest Oktoberfest in California, the festival at Anaheim's Phoenix Club is a beer-swilling extravaganza with drinking contests, ompapah bands, authentic German food and even activities for the kiddies. Dates and times vary. Tickets are $5.

Through Oct. 28
Celebrating its 35th year, Oktoberfest at Huntington Beach's Old World Village boasts the best bratwurst in town and county's hottest shot girls. After a few swigs, you'll be up on stage doing the inescapable chicken dance. Dates and times vary. Tickets range from $5 to $20.

Oct 13
This Saturday, Anaheim brewery celebrates all things German in its beer garden. There'll be live entertainment, authentic German-style pretzels, bratwurst and sauerkraut, and, of course, the Anaheim Oktoberfest Lager. 3 to 10 p.m. No cover charge.

Oct. 20
An all-ages party with all the fixings--German-style food, craft beer from Bootlegger's, Anchor and Hangar 24, plus lively music from Raving Polka. OC Weekly is a sponsor. 1-7 p.m. No cover charge.
