Taco Bell Crime of the Week: Van Crashes Through Wall!

Eating at a Taco Bell in Texas is like ordering your hamburgers in Southern California from McDonald's--what's the pinche point? Taco Bell founder Glenn Bell was frank about the difficulty of spreading his chain to the Lone Star State in the 1960s, and even today, you're much more likely to see Taco Cabanas and Whataburgers than the Bell. Nevertheless, people in Texas do eat at Taco Bell, but better be careful: you just might get a hurtling van to go with your Doritos Loco taco.

A 21-year-old student from Texas A&M University- Kingsville was injured Monday afternoon after a mini-van crashed through the wall of the Taco Bell restaurant in the 1000 block of S. 14th St., police said.
