The Lime Truck is going wheel-less.

After two years of feeding hungry mobs at business parks, festivals and street food events throughout OC, Daniel Shemtob is taking his innovative New American fare north. He's the latest luxe lonchera chef to open a brick-and-mortar restaurant, a move that has been proved successful by the likes of Roy Choi of Kogi, Andrew Gruel of Slapfish and, of course, Shemtob's former partner-in-grub, Jason Quinn of The Playground.

The 105-seat restaurant, TLT Food (which stands for The Lime Truck if you didn't catch that), will be located in Westwood, near The Umami Group's 800 Degrees pizzeria. Shemtob tells us that guests can expect the same creative recipes and local, organic and sustainably sourced ingredients that they'd find at The Lime Truck, winner of season 2 of The Great Food Truck Race. Beer and wine will also be served.

"It's gonna be cool to have a full kitchen," says Shemtob, who will be the restaurant's head chef. "Seventy-five percent of the menu will be stagnant and 25-percent will be rotating."

TLT Food is expected to open around mid-October. The Lime Truck, which now has four trucks, will continue their normal routes.
