Pitfire Artisan Pizza
, an LA-based hipster mecca known for its fire-singed pizzas, awesome beer list and heaven-sent smothered cookie (yes, you'll want one), is coming to OC in early fall!
The restaurant will be taking over an old Marie Callender's on 17th Street in Costa Mesa. Designer Anthony Agriam is transforming the spot into a "neighborhood gathering space" with large booths, communal tables, outdoor seating and Pitfire's signature wood-fired pizza kiln as the main attraction.
Menu items will include Pitfire favorites such as a burrata pizza (housemade burrata, wild arugula, caramelized onions and hazelnuts) and a savory pie called Greens, Egg & Ham (braised rapini, farm egg and Zoe's prosciutto), along with pastas, salads and a rotating taplist of craft beers.
An opening date has not yet been announced but we're excited about this addition to the artisan pizza scene.
