Slater's 50/50 Now Has a Burger Patty Made of 100% Bacon

Slater's 50/50, the pork-fat empire famous for its 50/50 burger made of 50-percent ground beef and 50-percent ground bacon, has gone all in with its latest artery-clogging offering. Its July Burger of the Month is The 'Merica, a 100-percent bacon burger. I need to pop a Tums just thinking about it. 

In a press release, the restaurant says this is the burger that started it all: "The concept for Slater's 50/50 Burgers by Design came out of a dare at a Charger's tailgate party between owner Scott Slater and some of his San Diego State University buddies. Could a 100 percent ground bacon burger work? After some tweaking and perfecting (and a few small grease fires), the answer was yes." 

The 'Merica Burger is loaded with a sunny-side-up egg, thick-cut bacon, bacon island dressing and bacon cheddar cheese. It's available through July 31 at all three Slater's 50/50 locations--Huntington Beach, Anaheim Hill and San Diego.

Didn't they invent something like this called sausage a few years ago? Didn't people eat sausage and eggs for meals at one time? Don't get me wrong this looks good but it isn't remotely a hamburger. hope they make a million bucks though....

This looks like a mouthwatering delicious piece of heaven which makes it even more deadly with a heart attack written all over it. Nicely done. Why do things that look and taste good are totally bad for your health and your belly? So irritating.
