Nick's On 2nd Coming to Belmont Shore

Strolling along 2nd Street over the weekend, we spotted signage announcing the arrival of yet another NickCo Restaurant. With locations in San Clemente and Laguna Beach, their culinary adventure continues this summer on the corner of St. Joseph Avenue.

Focusing more on their original bar & grill concept, they anticipate a late July/early August opening. Design features include an island bar, glass walls, sidewalk patio, and exhibition kitchen.

Their liquor license will include both a sizable wine list and toast-worthy drinks (perhaps their weekly Farmer's Market cocktail will make an appearance?). We're betting their classic American comfort food will include asparagus fries and braised short ribs, per the Laguna menu. Pretty soon we'll have another reason to head up the 405 and exercise our parallel parking skills.
