Starbucks To Open at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure

Categories: Dishney
The Happiest Place on Earth will soon become The Most Caffeinated Place on Earth.

Starbucks will be coming to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, it was announced today on the Disney Parks blog

The first location is set to open in June at California Adventure. It will be located in the Fiddler, Fifer and Practical Café on Buena Vista Street, "a place that transports guests to 1920s Los Angeles, when Walt Disney arrived in California and a cup of coffee was the perfect way to jumpstart a busy day." Disney notes that the location will play off the Spanish/Mexican architecture of the period, and baristas will be decked out in 1920s-inspired attire.

An opening date for Disneyland's Starbucks has not yet been announced. The coffee chain will also launch locations at the four Disney parks in Orlando, Florida--Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and Epcot.

Shouldn't the words "Paid Advertisement" be featured SOMEWHERE within this article?

After reading this story, I am inspired to dedicate the rest of my life to the study of possible cures for cancer, diabetes and the common cold. THANK YOU Starbucks Inc and THANK YOU Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Inc!

And now if you don't mind..I must VOMIT..

Why am I not surprised... Since California adventure is being turned into little Hollywood.  Why not have all your coffee supplied by a Seattle company... I mean there aren't any good native california coffee shops that could stand to use a little help from uncle Walt... Another STUPID move by Disney.

909Jeff makes a good point.  As much as I'm not a fan of Peet's java, it would look great inside California Adventure, it being of Bay Area ancestry.

Even better, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf - my favorite coffee of the Big 3 - originated in Los Angeles, i.e. Southern California.

It's little things like this that influence the consumer subconscious.

Exactly... Or any number of lower to mid market privately owned coffee shops... Like some of the ones Dave Lieberman wrote about in his ten best list... A contract to open your stores in Disneyland would be like these people winning the lottery. And would keep additional tourist dollars right here in so-cal instead of in a huge pipeline to Seattle!
