LinX, Artisan Sausage and Belgian Frites Shop, to Open in Old Towne Orange
While researching an upcoming interview, we learned of a farm-to-table concept moving into the neighborhood this summer. Scott Brandon, known most recently for his work at Crow Bar + Kitchen, plans to launch his next venture in Old Town Orange.
Originally located at a historic space, Brandon's newer digs are just off the Circle and will utilize reclaimed lumber and vintage furnishings when he opens
It'll be LinX, an artisan sausage and Belgian frites shoppe. Drinks will include craft Belgium, German and domestic beers. Hand-crafted bread and condiments made in-house round out his understated intention of doing a limited number of items well (instead of a slew of mediocre ones). Seating will include an outdoor patio lined with citrus trees and a communal table.
Interested parties can mosey over to Three Seventy Common in Laguna Beach on Monday, April 16, as Scott will guest chef at their inaugural Uncommon Monday monthly dinners. A five-course dinner for $55 will be served, with courses including brandade croquettas and apple strudel ice cream sandwich sliders. As long as he doesn't start frosting his tips and pull up in a vintage convertible, he's got our attention.
