You're going to have to wait until the next issue for a picture of the ghormeh sabzi pizza--in the meanwhile, meditate on this...

Ratso Rizzo was full of crap. The two basic items necessary to sustain life are not sunshine and friggin' coconut milk. We lived in South Florida and the mantra there is the same as anywhere--pizza and beer. San Juan Capistrano's groovy NYC Cafe has you covered splendidly in both areas: good ol' Newcastle Brown Ale and their truly awesome ghormeh sabzi pizza.

Along with shredded beef, it contains an honest-to-goodness ghormeh sabzi, the luscious Persian herb stew: fresh cilantro, spinach, parsley, chives, fenugreek, fresh lemon juice, kidney beans and sauteed onions. (Bite on that, Domino's.) We feel better just reading that list. The smell and taste cover the gamut of herby/fragrant/spicy/pungent/aromatic/delicious/munchy.

Scarf down any from the small to the 18-inch XXL wagon wheel and you'll be haunting the place 24/7 to work your way through the other 13 pizzas on the delectable Greek/Italian menu. Nice-guy owner Al Shan and his crew even deliver--including Newc Brown. Sweet Jesus, we may never leave home again.
