Three New Restaurants Open In Huntington Beach

​There's a been a flurry of new restaurant activity in Surf City lately. I've noticed three to be exact. Here's a quick rundown:

Pizza Lounge takes the place of a departed Beach Pit BBQ at 301 Main Street (Suite 107) and is the sister of the Pizza Lounge in Laguna Beach. Along with the usual suspects of pepperoni pies and yes, that new classic BBQ chicken pizza, they've also got an eclectic list that includes Coconut Shrimp Pizza, Peaches Chicken and Gorgonzola pizza, and a Shrimp Cranberry Chipotle Pizza.


Freebirds World Burrito, that hippie version of Chipotle that has its other OC store in Orange, has also opened in Huntington Beach at 18541 Beach Blvd. Word is that they're also planning a third store at CSUF next year.

Last but not least, there's North Shore Poke Company, which opened in the thick of downtown at 214 5th St (Suite 101). Correct me if I'm wrong, but this may be the first restaurant to solely dedicate itself to the Hawaiian dish, actually serves haupia pie for dessert, and all without a kalbi plate lunch in sight.

And oh yeah, there's a new In-N-Out in nearby Seal Beach.
