N'Ice Cream Opens At the OC Mart Mix Today With FREE Scoops

A couple of years ago, when we spoke to the management of the OC Mart Mix, they referred to it as OC's answer to the San Francisco Ferry Building. Well, fast forward and now there's third-wave coffee, artisanal cheese, amazing cakes and pastries, wine, olive oil, spices, a small but surprisingly good farmers market, and as of noon today, organic gelato and sorbet.
N'Ice Cream, the Los Angeles-based maker of said organic frozen specialties, is opening its first OC store at the OC Mart Mix at SoCo Collection in... uh... one hour. They'll be giving away free ice cream from noon until 4 p.m. Go... go line up now.
