Dear Chicken Maison, the Weekly Is NOT the Register

Ughhhhh

We love getting love from local restaurants. Did we write something you like? Post it up! Just make sure you, you know, POST OUR REVIEW, instead of repurpose our review to suit your needs.

Case in point: I was out and about, covering a concert, when I decided to make a stop at Chicken Maison, a Middle Eastern rotisserie place that Edwin Goei praised a bit ago. His article was hanging proudly. The problem? We're not The Orange County Register--AND the article hung proudly on the wall didn't credit Edwin.

Don't get me wrong: The food was still great and cheap. But seeing that broke my heart just the tiniest bit. :-(

Maybe newspapers aren't the only ones who need fact checkers. . . .

What they did there is clearly wrong.(I do like Chicken Maison over Gourmet Grill Masters).

I'd know it wasn't Nancy Luna of the Register if it didn't contain the line:

My take: Chicken Maison probably serves 'home'-style poultry

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Fuck Nancy Luna. She doesn't even report on fast food anymore.

Actually, she does. After dissing Taco Bell ( and receiving a response from- I believe a Taco Bell VP in the comments section), she invited Facebook readers to go with her to try the new Dorito taco for free.Same thing with IHOP- she complained about a bad breakfast and now is on the IHOP train.

That's because we whipped her so bad that her bosses must've given her a talking to!

Sorry maybe I wasnt fully clear... In my industry when Forbes or CNN Money publishes a story about our company, that we deem flattering, and want to use it to show our customers, we have to order reprints from the source of the article. Otherwise its copyright infringement.  What I'm saying is if they paid for a reprint assuming that reprint came from the weekly or VVM why would you blame the restaurant?

Um, maybe in demanding that what they pay for is accurate???

that looks like a paid for reprint?  How is that the restaurants fault?
