The New Aria International Supermarket is Open and Ginormous

Last month, Anne Marie got the scoop on Aria International Supermarket, which planned to take over the space left behind by Sears Essentials in Tustin. The enormity of it was confirmed when I went into the supermarket this weekend as it quietly opened.

It is indescribably spacious. Floors gleam like an ice rink. It almost seems like they have an excess of space they don't know what to do with. Some aisles are wide enough to fit an SUV through. Everything looks spaced as far apart as possible to cover the acreage.

In one area, a food court where one can fit what I guess two armies and their horses, has cushioned chairs and tables with sumac shakers.

There is but one food vendor for now and it serves Persian fare, including a $5 koobideh special that Anne Marie tried today. She expressed surprise that this, a food court, supplied her with "silverware, glassware, tableware, bread and butter".

If you're judging by sheer spaciousness, this would seem to be *THE* challenger to Wholesome Choice. It is definitely a far cry from Super Irvine, whose owners reportedly own this new store.

Aria International Supermarket will be located at 2505 El Camino Real, Tustin, (714) 665-8269.

True about the owners and the head chef in the Persian restaurant section supposedly is from Mission Ranch Market (best persian food).  I tried the kabob and it was about a 7/10 and the RICE was nothing comparable to that of Mission ranch market (mission's rice is top grade which makes a HUGE difference).  Aria, please don't use rice that will overall destroy the grade of your food!  I hope that you're market becomes overall successful

I wish they post meat and sea food  origin, the vegetable most of them have the sign mark the product origin.  It is important to lots of people, I never buy food from China.

I think that they are going to do just fine once the word gets out and they grow. Right now, it is a well-kept secret.

Thats kind of the problem with "well kept secrets" we all love to have that one spot that no one else knows about, but we alone cant pay their bills!

I wish them luck I think I'm gonna head over there this weekend check it out.
