Boiling Crab To Open Third OC Location

​Kickin' Crab in Santa Ana will have a little bit of competition soon. Boiling Crab will open just a block away in the long-vacant building that was once Sumo on MacArthur Blvd. A banner was draped over the side of the building announcing the store and inviting job applicants to their website.

It will be only the third restaurant (if you don't count their to-go location) for the crawfish empire that has already expanded to LA County, Texas, Las Vegas and San Jose, not to mention inspired a whole lot of imitators in its home turf...like Kickin' Crab.

The worst shrimp ever!  The shrimp in the basket were soooo over cooked that they were dry and rubbery.  I complained, paid the bill, and left the food sitting on the table.  They asked if I wanted a box to take it home.  Can you believe it?

I like them both but I think boiling crab should not come so closed and try to compete with the kicking crab, that is low low low. There are too many fish in the sea why try to fight for the same fish.
