• Honestly, I'd rather you at least make the $.10 you get from the publisher, you deserve it. Hopefully you had a decent contract with them and get more than that.

• I don't mind the idea in general, because it allows me to encumber the money while it's on my mind (don't laugh—I forget all sorts of important things if they're not uppermost in my mind at the time). I refuse, however, to ever pre-order from bn.com or AT&T again, after the e-mails about "Sorry, guess what, we oversold, it'll be to you in four weeks."

• Why would anyone pre-order anything?  Let me see.. I'm going to give some giant company what amounts to an interest free loan for four months before I get anything? Hell no!  Not to mention if you wait until May the book will be on the discount rack anyways.  (I joke)  Gustavo, I'm assuming based on your comment the book will be available for sale at the library the date of the signing?

• Will you sell other versions in areas that don't border on Mexico? <i>How Italian/Chinese/French/Thai/Greek/Lebanese/Indian/etc. Conquista'd America.</i> That way, you'll not only be much closer to the truth (as those of us who have lived all over the country know) but will also have "fuckin' four eyes can't even read"-type comebacks to negative reviews and comments. Keeps things simple.
