Burger King Has New French Fries

In the hierarchy of fast-food fries, Burger King's offerings have never been at the top of the batch. They've long wilted beneath McDonald's fries, which are awesome if consumed within 48 seconds, and In-N-Out fries, which taste cardboard-y to me, but are generally loved by the masses.
Well, for the first time in 13 years, Burger King has changed its French fry recipe. The new ones are apparently thicker and less salty than their predecessors, with a coating that keeps them crispier and hotter longer. Fancy.
What customers are saying:
"Making them thicker certainly makes them easier to eat, and since many of them are consumed in the car with one hand on the steering wheel, that's probably not a bad idea," Darren Tristano told Reuters.
"They taste way better," Shantel Jackson told New York Daily News. "It reinvents the taste. I could eat these fries all day every day."
Yep, sounds about right.
If you want to try them, you might save a buck on Dec.16, when Burger King will be giving out $1 "value" portions for free.
