About the same time that Dave revealed that Kellogg's was threatening a non-profit for using a toucan as a logo, news that Apple has a similar complaint about Chinese company spread through the web.

According to a report from GoChengdoo, the computer maker is alleging that Sichuan Fangguo Food Co., a noodle manufacturer, has infringed upon its proprietary logo. Apple is objecting particularly to the leaf on the Fangguo's logo and request it be removed.

It has been noted on several blogs, and we would have to concur, that the logo doesn't so much look like Apple's as it does LG's.

The CEO of the noodle company, Zhao Yi, has offered the following response:

"There's a leaf so you can tell it's an apple, but it also contains two Chinese characters. The orientation is also different, and ours is a totally different shape. When I started Fangguo, I had never even heard of Apple."
