This Weekend: Hot Dog Eating Champion Kobayashi To Compete In Mission Viejo

Hey, are you the type that loves the agony of watching Adam Richman in agony? Think of competitive eating as a wholesome pursuit that is not, in anyway, reflective of our country's tendency to excess?
On Labor Day,
Eating is actually probably not an accurate description. More like inhaling without choking.
From the press release:
"The all-day event will feature a family-friendly, carnival-like theme, live music, magic, concessions and more beginning at noon, with the contest to begin at 6 p.m.
Takeru Kobayashi, international celebrity World-Record holding competitive eater originally from Nagano, Japan, will end his 2-year hiatus from competitive hot dog-eating contests. Kobayashi will attempt to break his own world record of eating 69 hot dogs in 10 minutes when he takes on world-ranked, two-time WCHDEC defending champion, Thomas "Goose" Gilbert of Las Vegas Nevada."
There will be cash prizes for the victor (1st-$5000, 2nd-$2500, 3rd-$1000, 4th-$750, 5th-$500, and 6th-$250) and hopefully a puke bucket and some Rolaids.
