Taco Bell Crime of the Week: Stealing a Charity Box!

Ever wonder which of those ubiquitous boxes near cash registers at fast-food restaurants and liquor stores are honest-to-goodness non-profits, and which are scams? Maybe that's what was going through the mind of the gentleman who tried to rip off a charity box from Taco Bell.
From that fine part of American civilization known as Bakersfield:

The Bakersfield Police Department needs your help with identifying a man accused of attempted burglary.Police said that at about 6:45 p.m. on June 20, a man used pruning shears in an attempt to cut the wire cable securing the Children's Charity donation box at the Taco Bell on South Chester Avenue.When he was unsuccessful, police said the man ran out of the business.
