Dutch Parliament Bans Halal and Kosher Slaughter, Giving Anti-Muslim Activists Here Hope for Same in U.S.

• You would be well-advised to learn the difference between "Muslim" and "Islam".  "Muslims" are victims of the disease "Islam". To attack the disease is not to "hate Muslims" and that's a distinction you apparently do not recognize.  One is a person, the other is an ideology that's all-encompassing but primarily political and includes a component of religion.  Islam is responsible for the deaths of 270 million people, mainly infidels, but including other Muslims. "Religion of peace"?  Really?  With more than 18,000 terrorist attacks since 9/11 (http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/)?  Want to learn something about the so-called "prophet" Muhammad?  See http://prophetofdoom.net/ Regarding the article itself, the members of ACT! for America are not "virulently anti-Muslim".but they are anti-sharia because sharia (Islamic law) is fundamentally incompatible with the U.S. Constitution. Quite a few members have close Muslim friends who have rejected Islam because they have read the Qur'an (unlike about 80% of Muslims), the sira, and the ahadith and were horrified by what they learned.  These enlightened Muslims have assimilated and support our Constitution.  The openly stated goal of the Islamists is the destruction of all Western-style governments and replacement by a worldwide caliphate.  If you doubt this, read some of the Muslim Brotherhood records seized and entered into evidence at the Holy Land Foundation trial.  There is ample written proof of the intentions of the Muslim Brotherhood and its myriad alphabet-soup organizations (CAIR, ISNA, NAIT, MAS, etc. ad nauseam) and it is not pretty. ACT! for America is dedicated to maintaining our Constitutional government and exposing the many ongoing attempts to replace it with sharia.  Those attempts are well underway but not recognized by the generally ignorant public (which is exactly the way the Islamists want the American public to be) and most in government and law enforcement.  ACT! for America is definitively NOT anti-Muslim in any sense and to claim otherwise is egregious ignorance. 

• Kosher and halal slaughter involve deftly slitting the throat, including the carotid arteries, which supply blood to the brain. The sudden stoppage of blood supply to the brain renders the animal unconscious almost instantly. This is a more effective method than the captured bolt gun method used in US agribusiness slaughterhouses, where the animal sometimes has to get the bolt through the skull several times before it drops. So get over it.

• It is important to ensure the most modern standards of butchering and improve the living conditions of  animal husbandry.It is time to abolish such so called halal and kosher slaughter. The import of so called halal meat should be prohibited too!

• Ducain, first they are called Muslims not Moslems. Second giving blanket statements about everyone of a particular religion is whats screwed up about the world today. If you want to stop the torture of animals ... then stop eating meat completely. I am tired of these bigots who have so much vitriol coursing through their veins for Muslims. They complain that everyone is being too "politically incorrect" about Muslims ...yet they in fact hide their true motives by hiding their bigoted agendas under some "genuine" concern. Why don't they have the guts to just say they hate Muslims?

• You have obviously never set foot in an American abattoir. It's not like the cows are gently massaged to death there. Don't hide your bigotry behind a transparent veil of care about animals. It's disingenuous.

• Halal slaughter especially of cattle is simply torturing an animal to death.It is totally inhumane. The problem is that most Moslems [especially Pakistanis] have no concept in their brains of animal rights.They NEVER EVER think that they are treating the animal abominably.They don't understand.
