Ripley's Believe It Or Not Building to Become Indian Restaurant

Believe it or not, the Ripley's Believe It Or Not building is finally getting a tenant after it closed two years ago. The 8,460-square-foot space will become an Indian-and-Asian fusion restaurant and bar called Torch that's expected to open soon. When I drove by, I saw they had at least the sign up, a gaudy graphic of erupting flames replacing the old Ripley's marquee.

The Buena Park building is at 7850 Beach Blvd., between La Palma Avenue and the 91 freeway, on the main tourist drag between Knott's Berry Farm and Medieval Times.

One now wonders what new entity will take over Po Folks, which closed last year, just down the block.
