Lobsta Truck Coming To OC

Lobsta Truck

Many luxe loncheras originate in LA and then slowly make their way down the map to OC (hurry, we're hungry!), but here's one that's truly worth the wait.

Lobsta Truck announced on Twitter that it's launching an OC truck later this month. Yay!

The bright-red mobile eatery is known for its New England-style lobster roll--a perfectly buttered and toasted split-top bun piled with chunks of Maine-imported lobster. You can order it two ways: dressed with mayo, salt and pepper, or simply sprinkled with drawn butter. They've also got a crab roll and other New England classics such as clam chowder, Cape Cod potato chips, Whoopie pies and Maine Root's sodas.

what about sustainability--Maine lobsters aren't sustainable. There are numerous right whales caught in their lobster lines.

The Monterey Bay Aquarium says, "This, combined with the infrequent accidental entanglement of endangered North Atlantic right whales in lobster fishing gear, or pots, is a cause for environmental concern."

Any thoughts?

How about this. Why don't we ship the whales to Japan to aid the relief effort and get some freshly nuked spiney lobsters in return? We've eliminated the cooking process and therefore saved the generation of any sort of energy through coal, fossel fuel or bullshit green energy. We've fed thousands of people who are homeless (which is what the greenies want us to be anyway) and created cute gourmet food that hippies love to eat, all while feeling good about ourselves.

Fuck, that would make the Trader Joe's crowd happy, now wouldn't it?

Man, I've gotta go and rub my nipples... this is making me feel all warm and guishy inside.
