Heidi Montag Gets a Food Show?!

These days, it seems the more annoying you are on reality TV, the more likely you are to score your own show. Syfy gave Marcel from Top Chef an entire hour of television with his Quantum Kitchen, despite being reviled by his peers and most of the viewing public.

And now VH1 is set to unleash the so-called "Famous Food." It's a series where "famous" people like Heidi Montag, Danielle Staub from Real Housewives of New Jersey, Bachelor Jake Pavelka, Ashley Dupre (Eliot Spitzer's call girl) and a few rappers from Three 6 Mafia try to open and manage a restaurant in L.A.

Really? Yes. Really.

It's days like these that I look back fondly at other similarly ill-conceived food shows involving non-food celebrities who were at least likeable. Dweezil & Lisa, I take it all back. You weren't so bad after all.
