Why, yes, it is an olive oil and vinegar store at the Irvine Spectrum.  Anne Marie was actually the one who noticed it, being the intrepid explorer she is.

Opened last week, the store is sort of like a gourmand's Sweet Factory, where you can mix and match flavors of oil and have it bottled on-site.  They boast more than 41 flavors of oil and vinegar, which is 10 more than Baskin-Robbins. Unlike ice cream, you can conceivably ask to taste test all of them, free of charge.

Find it near the Apple Store.  Hmm . . . why do I sense there will now be a lot of oil-smudged iPads and iPods next door?

Can't stay away from this place. By far, the best balsamic vinegar and oil I've ever had. Recommend. I bought the 18yr old Traditional, the Blackberry Ginger and then the Tuscan Herb oil. A little pricy, but well worth it if you love to cook.

Yes, I agree. I would only ask to taste the ice cream if I really didnt know what I thought it might taste like.

It just sounded like Baskin Robbins had somehow stopped allowing for samples.

There is a great olive oil/balsamic vinegar store in San Clemente called Oliver's. I have purchased many delicious items from them. They have been open for 2-3 years now and you can taste any of their products. Everything is bottled on-site...best balsamic I have ever had is their 18 Yr.

that's pretty cool, like Vom Fass in Harrod's basement... that place had the added bonus of having spirits that you could have bottled too

Are you saying that you can no longer ask to sample the ice cream at Baskin Robbins?
