If I lived in Shelby, North Carolina, I'd probably make random phone calls as well to bide the time between the Tar Heels' basketball season and . . . the Tar Heels' basketball season.

The story:

A Shelby woman faces a harassing-phone-call charge after she allegedly called a Taco Bell employee repeatedly at work.

Ann Latrice Edgerton, 24, of the 100 block of Spiral Lane, called the woman's personal and work phones between Aug. 1 and Sept. 14, 2010, according to a misdemeanor criminal summons. The manager of Shelby's Taco Bell was listed as a witness.

Edgerton was served with the summons recently and is scheduled to appear in Cleveland County District Court on March 18.
