Bundt Cake Bakery Chain Opens First OC Store Today

NBCinterior.jpg

Nothing Bundt Cake has one of those clever monikers that wraps a pun inside a title that's slightly more creative than Absolutely Phobolous and What the Pho. The franchise comes from of Sin City. The first of three Orange County branches opens today in Costa Mesa at 270 E. 17th St., Ste. 4.

The other two are slated for Mission Viejo and Tustin at the District, where Sandella's fizzled. All will, as the name suggests, sell nothing but bundt cakes with flavors such as chocolate chocolate chip, red velvet, carrot, cinnamon swirl and pecan praline. The chain has already infiltrated LA and San Diego.

Also offered are cutesy merchandise with slogans such as "Cute As a Bundt'on" and "Baby's Got Bundt," which will elicit guffaws or groans depending on who you ask.

I've had this bundts and they're wonderful. Big enough for two servings, if you can manage to not eat the whole thing.

I've tried their cakes at a wedding before and they were pretty good. I'll be stopping by this store soon.
