Heart Attack Grill Spokesman Dies at 29

Categories: News

Last week, Blair River, the 575-pound man who was the spokesman for The Heart Attack Grill--a hospital-themed Chandler, Arizona, restaurant that sells a burger called "The Quadruple Bypass" and cigarettes--has reportedly died of complications from pneumonia at age 29.

The tongue-in-cheek video in which River is featured can be seen on the restaurant's website and on YouTube. It shows River eating a burger while being "attended" by girl in a nurse costume as a cautionary voice-over recites:

"The Heart Attack Grill diet is not for everyone. Side effects might include sudden weight gain, repeated increase of wardrobe size, back pain, male breast growth, loss of sexual partners, lung cancer, tooth decay, liver sclerosis, stroke and an inability to see your penis. In some cases, mild death may occur."

The video ends as River gives a thumbs-up.

The coroner should examine this guy's "pneumonia" with a fine-tooth comb. Some restaurants will do anything for free publicity.
