CPK ASAP at South Coast Plaza Closed

​California Pizza Kitchen's QSR (quick-serve restaurant) concept is fizzling. Last year saw the closing of the CPK ASAP adjacent to Angel Stadium of Anaheim, presumably cannibalized by the full-service CPK in the GardenWalk mall.

Now it's the turn of the CPK ASAP in the South Coast Plaza annex (you know, hipster central, where the H&M, Crate & Barrel, and the Apple Store are). A sign was posted yesterday announcing it would be closed as of today. That didn't stop the lines of people looking for an alternative to expensive Hamamori across the way.

This just provides one more excuse for the $20 three-course lunch at Marché Moderne across the bridge. . . .
