In the Department of Participating in Every Zany Contest Fast-Food Chains Offer comes this news: a Long Beach Poly senior won a $20,000 college scholarship from KFC for the best tweet expressing how the chain would help the student better their lives.

Amanda Russell didn't even have a Twitter account until hearing of the contest, according to a wire account published in the Long Beach Press-Telegram, but got one just to enter. Her winner after the jump!

"Hey Colonel! Your scholarship's the secret ingredient missing from my recipe for success! Got the grades, drive, just need cash!''

Okay, so Shakespeare it's not--but it's better than A Separate Peace. Our congrats go out to Russell, we hope she enrolls at Long Beach State or UCLA, and have hope, cabrones: we, too, can win if only we try!
