UPDATED: No Participants So Far For Nutella Eating Contest

Last week, Edwin blogged the news of Crepes Bonaparte's Nutella eating contest--first one to finish an entire jar wins diabetic shock a month of free crepes!--but we've sent photographer Mary Bell to the scene and she reports that no one has signed up yet.

C'moooon, people.

If you're in or around Santa Ana, here's the info again from Edwin:

To enter, just pay the $5 entrance fee. To triumph, be the first to finish an entire jar of Nutella.

The event will be held at Sycamore and Civic Center Drive in Santa Ana.

By the way, the entrance fee also entitles you to one free crepe. I suggest eating the crepe after finishing the jar, or perhaps just give it to a friend, because would you really want the crepe after that?

It's all for a good cause though. All proceeds to benefit Orange County United Way.
