"Mexican" Coke on Continental Airlines

"You're taking a picture of the Coke can?" "Yes." "O-o-okay."

​I was in Washington, D.C., last week, and on my first leg flight from John Wayne to Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport, I asked for a Coke to settle my stomach. It had a very familiar taste; imagine my surprise to find that the soda was bottled in El Salvador, written completely in Spanish, and contained no overprocessed diabetes tincture high-fructose corn syrup.

Evidently, it must be cheaper for Continental to get their Coca-Cola from south of the border, because a look through the aircraft's history indicates that it came from Houston, and before that from Miami.

Regardless of its origin, it was a welcome treat. Now if only they can continue that sourcing trend after the merger with United.
