Taco Bell Crime of the Week: Teens Rob Teens!
A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in the armed robbery of two teens over the weekend, following a lengthy chase Monday that ended with his arrest, police said.
The suspect, a Pittsburg resident whose name was withheld because he is a minor, was booked into Juvenile Hall on suspicion of robbery. A 16-year-old boy arrested alongside him, also from Pittsburg, was released pending further investigation.
Two teens, ages 14 and 13, told police that as they walked away from a Taco Bell restaurant on Deer Valley Road about 7:10 p.m. Sunday, they were followed by a group of six teenage boys.
As they neared a walking trail, two boys broke away from the group and pointed semi-automatic handguns at the victims.
When the armed boys slid the slides back on their weapons, one of them discharged a round, but no one was hit, police said.
