​Ronnie Arnold of Anaheim's K'ya Street Fare is on the line with us this week, at the helm of a menu that spans the entire globe, from Paris to Korea. Prices are lower for the small plates than at the original K'ya in Laguna Beach, which makes it a place for sun-dazed and crowd-frazzled visitors to unwind with a stiff drink and a few noshes. RA: Traveling to tropical locations.

RA: Teaching my kids how to make meatloaf and mashed potato dinner.

RA: Family road trip across the US, stopping at interesting, off the beaten path restaurants and diners.

OCW: What's the weirdest thing you've ever eaten?

RA: Veal sweetbreads--you know, thymus glands.

OCW: You're making an omelet. What's in it?

RA: Bacon and cheese.

OCW: You're at the market. What do you buy two of?

RA: Cartons of eggs.

RA: A customer once asked me to cook her tuna tartare.
