The Kogi craze has even hit the genteel world of paninis: Kaffa in Orange now offers a Korean beef rib sandwich that stuffs kalbi, provolone cheese, grilled onions and a French roll into something beautifully Southern Californian. Oh, its marinade: sweet soy, garlic, so slathered on it gives the sandwich the moist pleasure of a French dip. A mayo spread adds more sweetness, as does the grilled onions. I hear Kaffa makes a great latte, too, but I don't drink caffeine, as that's solely for fiends...
