Guy Fieri's Latest Show. Yeah.

For those of you who have managed to avoid the Food Network show Diners Drive-in's and Dives, here is the whole premise:

Guy Fieri, a 40-year-old self-described "kulinary gangsta," with spiked blond hair and a perpetual sunburn, goes to independently run restaurants in whichever city his rock star bus rolls into, then gorges himself on camera while proclaiming all the food to be "money."

Does the world really need more Guy Fieri with his stylstic flashback to third-wave ska? No, and if you need more reasons why, Gustavo can give you nine of them. NBC, however, thinks Mr. flip-flops-in-a-kitchen can carry a whole game show that has nothing to do with food.

Minute to Win It, according to the press release, features "10 deceptively simple games that require savvy contestants to complete under pressure with a prize of $1 million awaiting the winner." A local casting call is set for this Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at The Block's Café Tu Tu Tango.

This is the worst idea to sprout from the Food Network family since Sandra Lee made her Kwanzaa Cake. Except, if they made that a whole show we'd probably watch it, just for the unintended stoner hilarity of it all. Too bad for Guy, that is a magic ingredient that can't be replicated.
