A New Chinese/Thai Restaurant Replaces Masala Bowl in Irvine

Masala Bowl, the Indian fast-food that made a bid for expansion into Irvine and Brea among other cities the past few years, is now back to just one location in Orange County--the original one in Tustin.


The Irvine store on Sand Canyon and Irvine Center Drive, long shuttered, is now being replaced by something called Chef Yen Chinese & Thai Fusion. The signs are all up, and the typical Irvine Company mandated stencil on the window announces that they will be opening this summer.
