See what you missed this week on the Stick A Fork In It blog after the jump!
Dave gives us the five reasons why eating in OC is better than the Big Apple, where to get drunk on the UCI campus, the scoop on the Tropical Shave Ice truck that will soon be hitting the streets of OC, and another installment of Ethnic Eating 101, which covers Chinese cuisine.
Dave also provides us with a three-part interview with Greg Daniels, partner and executive chef at Haven Gastropub in Old Town Orange. Thursday's portion of the interview included Greg's recipe for Arrogant Mussels, leaving another reason to go buy some Arrogant Bastard Ale this weekend.
This week for Edwin meant tracking restaurant openings--like Rustica coming to Fashion Island--and closures--such as King Genghiskhan Japanese Bar. B. Q. Buffet House in Cypress. His latest Wacky Snack installment works to bring back the word "crunk" from the late 90s and he also informs us that the Food Network better watch out because there's spinoff coming to town--the Cooking Channel--how original.
Gustavo puts on his chef hat and explains why small tacos exist and also puts Guy Fieri in his place after he visits OC.
Grace warns us of Whole Meals To Go available at Whole Foods, while Willy lets Bud Light's Golden Wheat and New Belgium Brewing's Mothership Wit battle it out in Dueling Dishes: Wheat Beer Showdown.
Thanks to Vickie, we get to see how much people love food this week with her photo essay of unique food-related tattoos.
Robert helps us welcome the 4/20 holiday by dishing out some of the best pot recipes. Marijuana milkshakes, anyone?
For Dessert of the Week, we head to Plums Cafe in Costa Mesa for lemon cake and lavender ice cream. The Drink of the Week takes us to Seal Beach for some tasty buttery nipples . . . not as x-rated as it sounds.
