Ah, the good old days.
Fake cops, food trucks and In-N-Out price hikes, oh my!

Get the scoop on what you missed this week in food after the jump.

Yeah, you read right. Edwin's brings the bad news of an In-N-Out price increase, but consoles us by forecasting a funnel cake trend in the near future. He also announces the participation of an OC team in the Ultimate BBQ Showdown and picks up on a NY Times article's that mentions UCI food photog, Javier Garcia.

Dave continues his ethnic eating tutorial with Chinese, part II, lists five suggestions of what to do with all those leftover Easter eggs, shares some useful tips on how to properly clean your copper cookware and gets his drink on... at a food truck?? He also gets a hold of Delia Snyder of Don the Beach Comber for an extensive interview and shows us how to build a monster shortcake with fresh strawberries found at the farmers' market.

Gustavo's Taco Bell Crime of the Week follows the exploits of an elected official who gets convicted for posing as a cop, gives his response about why he thinks OC Weekly food photography shouldn't revolve solely around the plate and explores the conundrum of Tacos Jerez opening in Huntington Beach.

Willy pits wine against wine in Dueling Dishes and Jessica sinks her sweet tooth into the pastries at Sweet Jill's.

Finally, I grub on an amazing shitake mushroom burger in Life on the Veg and sip on some chocolate wine for Drink of the Week!
