The 50 Best Restaurants in the World

​According to this recent CNN article, the world's best restaurant is in Denmark. Noma, as it is called, finally dethroned Ferran Adria's El Bulli, which held the top spot for the past four years. If you're wondering how such a list is made, here's how: the "illustrious list is compiled by The World's 50 Best Restaurants Academy -- an 806-member panel of the globe's most venerated chefs, food critics, restaurateurs and gourmands."

I'm familiar with Michelin and with James Beard; but to be quite honest, until now, I've not heard of this award or the organization behind it. But I'm not so much concerned about this as I am more interested in answering this question: How can I be member #807?
